Overview, Film Analysis, And 2025 Scouting Report Of Memphis Quarterback Seth Henigan

Measurables:

  • 6’3”
  • 215 lbs

Player Background:

A graduate of Ryan HS in Denton, Texas, Seth Henigan committed to Memphis in 2020. He enrolled in the program as a three-star recruit in the class of 2021. He was ranked as a Top-75 signal caller in the nation and a Top-175 recruit in Texas. A strong freshman camp and weak competition in the quarterback room led to him being the Week 1 starter. His first season was a solid sign of things to come, starting all 11 games and throwing for 3,322 yards with a 25/8 TD-to-INT ratio.

Henigan started every game once again in 2022, putting up similar numbers. In a season that ended with a win in the First Responder Bowl, he threw for 3,571 yards with 26 total scores to eight picks. His starting streak continued through 2023, crossing the 3,800-yard threshold and putting up a career-high 37 TDs. He kept his scoring total up and limited his turnovers in 2024. He finished his senior year with 26 total TDs and 3,502 passing yards to just six INTs.

Accolades:

  • Fourth-Team All-AAC (2021)
  • Freshman All-American (2021)
  • Second-Team All-AAC (2023)
  • Reese’s Senior Bowl American Team MVP (2024)

Strengths/Pros:

Henigan’s play style just looks so comfortable and he rarely gives you reasons to hold your breath. His pocket awareness is one of the most notably impressive aspects of his game and he works well under duress. His arm talent isn’t spectacular, but he’s near-mastered the ability to vary his arm angles mid-play to clear out space to dissect the defense naturally. He’s developed a quick, but not gunslinger-esque, release that lets him rip throws out of tighter pockets with zip on the ball.

He won’t constantly threaten defenses with downfield rockets, but his accuracy and knowledge of how to alter the ball trajectory on deeper throws is fantastic. In his tape, Henigan often dropped balls in the bucket perfectly, especially on the sideline. More often than not, he’s content with taking what the defense gives him quickly, a very pro-ready trait. He will pick apart defenses in the short passing game and won’t regularly attempt to force downfield shots.

Weaknesses/Cons:

Henigan is quite physically limited, and it often shuts down any attempt of his to extend plays. His footwork throughout plays in the pocket gets jittery, often forcing him off his base and making off-platform throws far too common of an occurrence. He doesn’t move well when trying to escape the pocket or scramble, occasionally picking up a few yards but never actually threatening a defense with his legs.

While good, his awareness will be hindered at times and he’ll get too back-foot dependent. In regards to his arm strength, Henigan isn’t one to lace a throw 20-30 yards downfield into tight windows. His deep balls are almost always floaters, sometimes letting defenders close in late and giving defenses much more time to react and make a play on the ball. Arguably the biggest indicator of how his NFL career will progress is his ability to develop his reads. As of now, much of his tape consists of one-read plays with some errant and/or late throws when trying to scan the entire field.

Potential Team Fits:

NFL Projection:

Henigan has yet to be a regular mention in the middle-round QB class, and it’s somewhat difficult to understand why. He’s a very developed passer, and while his ceiling isn’t absurdly high, he will offer teams a quality backup option at worst and a potential multi-year “win-with” starter at best. Organizations seeking shorter-term solutions at QB should be all over the Tigers’ signal caller and a long career is likely ahead of him. The recent leaguewide increase in resources allotted toward backup QBs bodes well for Henigan, and he could become a viable NFL option for years.

Prospect Grade:

  • Mid 4th Round

Film Exposures:

  • 2024 vs. West Virginia
  • 2024 vs. USF
  • 2024 vs. Florida State

The hard-hitting safety is a tone-setter and, when fully healthy, was a critical component of the best defense in college football. Now, the fifth-year senior is primed to be a steal in the NFL Draft. He, along with most of the Buckeyes at the Scouting Combine, did not test and will likely get the rest of his measurables at Ohio State's Pro Day.

Lathan Ransom NFL Draft Overview

As part of the 2020 recruiting class, Ransom was a four-star prospect and was considered the fourth-best safety recruit by 247Sports. From the jump, it was obvious that Ransom had the talent to compete in the Big Ten, but there was room for improvement. As a true freshman, he appeared in seven games and totaled just five yards and one pass breakup. His usage increased in 2021 as he amassed 38 tackles, four tackles for loss, a sack, and a career-best five pass breakups.

Ransom was knocked out of the Rose Bowl, so he missed Spring practices leading up to the 2022 season but he was ready for his breakout. After taking over at safety, Ransom finished third on the defense with 74 tackles, four tackles for loss, one-and-a-half sacks, three pass breakups, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and brought in his first interception in the win over Michigan State. Then, in 2023, he took a step back due to injury. In the win over Wisconsin, Ransom suffered a Lisfran tear that shut him down for the rest of the year. Despite that, he recorded 34 tackles, two tackles for loss, two pass breakups, and an interception.

He elected to return to school in 2024 for one last injury-free season. He made the most of it. The senior safety finished with 76 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, a sack, two pass breakups, an interception, three forced fumbles, and he returned a fumble for a touchdown in the season opener. He earned First-Team All-Big Ten honors for his play in his senior season.

Strengths

  • Great at coming downhill in run support
  • Don't come across the middle in his zone
  • Adept at the "Peanut Punch," forced three fumbles in 2024
  • Great at tracking the ball in the air
  • Is a weapon as a blitzer
  • Can cover tight ends
  • Two blocked punts in 2022, will at the very least be a solid special teams player

Weaknesses

  • Doesn't quite have the speed to keep up with vertical speed threats
  • Aggressive play resulted in missed tackles too often
  • Does not turn to look for the ball in coverage
  • Not too productive in coverage; only three career interceptions
  • Two major injuries (2021, 2023)

Best Fits: Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings,

Projection: Fourth Round

Bottom Line on Lathan Ransom

Playing next to Caleb Downs, Ransom looks like a legitimate NFL safety for the Buckeyes. He was a force of nature in a defense that used him in a variety of ways. He has the ability to do whatever a defense asks of him but he will mostly likely thrive as a run-stopping box safety. Think Vonn Bell but not a total liability in coverage.

That said, he is not quite the natural athlete that some safeties are in this class. Ransom showed growth in 2024 but those two major injuries will be concerning. Additionally, when tasked with dropping in coverage, he's not going to be able to keep up with burners and, if he's in position to make a play, he will not turn to locate the ball. Even then, if he has his eyes on the pass with everything in front of him, Ransom can locate where the ball is going and jar it loose.

Ransom is a tone-setting defender but his ceiling is not Kyle Hamilton high. He can have a long career in the NFL in the right system. Ransom has the build of an NFL safety and can hit with the best of them.

More 2025 NFL Draft Profiles

Overview, Film Analysis, And 2025 Scouting Report Of Arkansas Wide Receiver Isaac TeSlaa

Measurables:

  • 6’4”
  • 215 lbs

Player Background:

The Unity Christian HS was unranked in the 2020 recruiting class, enrolling at Division 2 Hillsdale College as an Athlete. Isaac TeSlaa began his collegiate career on special teams, working into the starting rotation in the back half of his freshman year. His total of 93 receiving yards in three 2020 games was massively increased in 2021, barely missing the 700-yard mark and scoring seven times on 45 catches.

TeSlaa again broke out in 2022, which was his last season with Hillsdale. He amassed over 1,300 yards with 13 scores, reeling in 68 passes. He entered the transfer portal after the season, ending up at Arkansas. His first Razorback season saw him starting every game, picking up 351 yards and two touchdowns on 34 catches. His final season in 2024 was another productive one, with almost 550 total yards and another three TDs.

Accolades:

  • Great Midwest American Conference Offensive Player of the Year (2022)
  • 2025 NFL Scouting Combine Invitee
  • 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl Invitee

Strengths/Pros:

The first thing most scouts say about TeSlaa, for good reason, is how incredible his hands are. They’re strong in all directions and levels of the field and he has rarely dropped a pass, including zero drops in 2024. His 6’4”, over 200 lbs build also forces defenders to account for a plethora of different setups and moves. He has deceptive speed, running a 4.43-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and showing abilities to be a vertical threat in smaller bunches. He times high-pointed passes well and uses his hands to reel in throws through contact at the catch point.

TeSlaa flips his hips and head well to make himself available for the QB on quick hitters. His transitions through the catch are seamless and he swiftly moves his body through contact to fight for extra yards. He has fantastic body awareness at the catch point, especially on the boundary. He’s a solid red zone threat, using his physicality well to pick apart coverages and back down DBs. His frame lets him be a solid blocker, ripping through defenders and forcing them out of plays.

Weaknesses/Cons:

The Arkansas offensive scheme didn’t do him any favors, but he does have some pretty glaring issues. TeSlaa’s stop-and-go lateral footwork is rough and he gets very choppy when attempting to do so. He’s very indecisive-looking through his releases on more downfield routes, rarely flashing top-end compact quickness to create separation. His short route cuts are another major point of negative emphasis in his game.

He doesn’t work through the top of routes sharply, especially when working toward the outside. TeSlaa doesn’t accelerate quickly through his cuts, significantly limiting his ability to create cross-field separation. His route tree is very undefined whether that be his problem or the Razorbacks’, taking far too much time to get out of his stems. He relies heavily on timing and spacing rather than working openly against man coverage, often struggling to work off of physical corners.

Potential Team Fits:

NFL Projection:

It’s difficult to project how TeSlaa will perform at the next level, especially when strictly looking at his tape. The athleticism numbers he displayed at the NFL Combine were eye-popping, but much of that doesn’t show itself on tape. His hands are undeniably elite and he can flash some impressive movement skills, but there are too many consistent issues for him to be a top prospect. A “safety valve” label would suffice for his immediate next-level projection, making him easily worthy of a Day 3 selection, and it will be interesting to see how teams attempt to tap into his athletic testing potential.

Prospect Grade:

  • Late 5th Round to Early 6th Round

Film Exposures:

  • 2024 vs. Texas Tech
  • 2024 vs. Texas A&M
  • 2024 vs. Ole Miss

With the next draft looming large on all our minds, speaking for most Falcons faithful out there when compiling this “wish list.” Below you will find three of the best hidden and obvious gems the Falcons fanbase would cry to watch be drafted by Mr. Blank himself... Every Falcons Fan’s Wish List for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Every Die-Hard Falcons Fan’s Wish List for the 2025 NFL Draft

Jalon Walker | EDGE, Georgia Bulldogs

Wait, the Atlanta Falcons drafting a player from Georgia? This fact alone would make us all ecstatic beyond words. This time though, this one makes sense in every way. The Falcons have been desperate to find any sort of pass rush in the past few seasons. Last season, the team was 31st in the league in sack totals. Before that, they were 28th in 2023 and 31st in 2022. In a Kirby Smart system that specializes in rotating defensive players consistently throughout a game, Walker had 6.5 sacks on the season with the Dawgs. In the SEC championship game alone, Walker had 3 sacks against a loaded Texas offense run by former Falcons offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian. If there is one thing that could get Falcons fans to rally, it is speed and explosiveness on the defensive line again. With their first-round pick at 15, they have a prime opportunity to do just that.

Andrew Mukuba | Safety, Texas Longhorns

Atlanta drafting a Clemson player on defense has felt like a gimmie for several years in a row now. Coming off a phenomenal season from AJ Terrell and the rise of Ruke Orhorhoro, why stop the trend? Sure, he played last season at Texas, but this kid was raised in a Dabo Swinney defense. Starting as a freshman for the Tigers in 2021, he totaled 130 tackles in his time at Clemson (not including the 52 he had at Texas). Not to mention, he went from just one interception in 3 years at Clemson to 4 in one season at Texas this past year. He is not the flashiest player in the draft, but he is a solid all-around safety that would make Falcons fans go crazy. Projected to go in most mock drafts in the 3rd or 4th round, Atlanta could get Mukuba on a great deal without having to make any major moves. Mukuba learning under the best safety in the league, Jessie Bates, and getting him as a steal in the 4th round? An absolute dream scenario for all of us die-hards out there.

Tory Horton | Wide Receiver, Colorado State

This one would just be fun for all of us fans if the Falcons did this. In an already loaded wide receiver room with Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Rondale Moore, and others… Tory Horton could be a fun wide receiver to play in special 5 wide receiver sets or play in the slot position for a couple of snaps a game. Injuries plagued Tory Horton's senior season when he had season-ending knee surgery towards the end of the year. Before the injury, Horton was picking up right where he left off the season before. In his game versus Oregon State, he had 9 catches for 158 yards. In the same game that he suffered his knee injury versus San Jose State, he had 75 yards. Despite the injuries, he proved this past season that he is a serious competitor. Looking to slip in this upcoming draft for his injury problems, the Falcons could steal Horton in a later round easily. To some, this pickup would be a headscratcher. However, I believe that a competitor like this picked up in a later round could give us die-hard fans something to be happy about.

Summary

There is a lot of talent in this year’s NFL Draft. It is hard to imagine a scenario where we could look back and say any NFL team could get this draft wrong. Out of all the players in this draft, these are the prospects I believe we could realistically obtain with the picks we have now that would wow every die-hard out there. After a 9-8 season filled with many ups and downs, this draft could lift the hopes of fans out there. Let’s keep our fingers crossed they can get this one right.

The faithful of the Atlanta Falcons football organization have been through the ups (Julio Jones) and the downs (where to begin) when drafting future legends of the game. With the next draft looming large on all our minds, speaking for most Falcons faithful out there when compiling this “wish list.” Below you will find three of the best hidden and obvious gems the Falcons fanbase would cry to watch be drafted by Mr. Blank himself… Every Falcons Fan’s Wish List for the 2025 NFL Draft.

2025 NFL Draft: Will Campbell Scouting Report

Will Campbell is one of the best offensive lineman prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft. He's a battle-tested player playing against some of the best pass rushers in the country, such as Landon Jackson (Arkansas), Suntarine Perkins and Princely Umanmielen (Ole Miss), and Kyle Kennard (South Carolina). Campbell, who has started 31 career games, all at left tackle, has been an All-SEC selection in all three seasons that he played in Baton Rouge, making first-team the past two seasons, and being named as a first-team All-American by the Associated Press.

Campbell has a smooth game for a young offensive lineman with an advanced skill set for a player his age (Campbell turned 21 in January), and his footwork and technique make him a natural fit at left tackle. He also has the power and toughness to be effective in the running game, being athletic enough to finish blocks at defenders at the second level. During his time at LSU, Campbell was awarded the No. 7 patch, given to the team’s best playmaker from Louisiana the past two seasons, as he was the first offensive lineman to receive that honor.

Strengths

  • Battle-tested by several NFL-caliber pass-rushers.
  • Sets properly with his knees with excellent technique and body control.
  • The first punch usually jolts the defender at the point of attack in both pass and run blocking.
  • Above-average agility to keep up with speedier edge rushers, which also allows him to adjust to pulling blocks in the second level.
  • Superior grip strength allows him to maintain and finish blocks.

Weaknesses

  • Average arm length.
  • Penchant for drifting and oversetting against speed rushers turning the corner when playing on an island.
  • Will need improvement on hand placement on lateral blocks.
  • Predictable timing with punching defenders.
  • Struggles at redirecting defenders with the speed rush and average core strength can sometimes be an issue against bull rushers.

NFL Comparison: Taylor Decker

Teams with needs at the position:  Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers.

Projection: Early to mid-first round

Bottom Line on Will Campbell

Will Campbell is an athletic prospect with the size and athleticism to succeed at the next level. He was a pillar on the offensive line and went against a gauntlet of the SEC’s best pass rushers. He was an unsung piece to Jayden Daniels winning the 2023 Heisman Trophy. Campbell is a dedicated team player who will work on his faults as he gets proper coaching and access to an NFL weight training program. Finally, Campbell’s best position is at left tackle and deserves an opportunity to prove himself there, despite his smaller arms. He has the skill and the measurables to succeed in the NFL, contrary to what some scouts may believe.

Jaylin Noel was one of those big-time playmakers for the Cyclones, and his scouting report evaluates whether he can continue to have similar success in the NFL.

More 2025 NFL Draft Profiles

2025 NFL Draft Scouting Report and Film Analysis of Iowa State Wide Receiver Jaylin Noel

Measurables:

Height- 5'10"

Weight- 194 lbs

Player Background:

Noel was a three-star wide receiver recruit from Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Mo. As a freshman, he started three games and was the team’s primary kickoff and punt returner. He became a full-time starter in his sophomore season finishing second on the team in both receptions and receiving yards. Noel took on an even larger role his junior season, leading the team in receptions and receiving touchdowns, while also being the team's top return man. As a senior, he helped Iowa State reach the Big 12 Championship game as the team’s leading receiver with 1,194 yards. He earned First Team All-Big 12 honors as a return man and Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors as a receiver.

Strengths:

Noel's route running and quickness make him one of the best separation creators in the 2025 NFL Draft class. He has excellent movement skills and change of direction speed. As a route runner, he gets in and out of his breaks with fluidity and quickness. He runs a diverse route tree and knows how to manipulate defenders to create separation. Noel is a great vertical threat from the slot who can get open down the field with a variety of routes like slot fades, deep crossing routes, and posts. Deep down the field, he also displays exceptional ball tracking skills and high points the football well. He finished the 2024 season as the top-rated receiver 20-plus yards down the field in the draft, according to PFF.

Noel also has good awareness and can consistently get open against zone coverage. He adds special teams value as well, having recorded 53 punt returns and 37 kick returns during his college career. As a senior, he averaged over 15 yards per punt return and was a First-Team All-Big 12 return man.

Weaknesses:

Noel is a small receiver and will likely be limited to primarily a slot receiver in the NFL. He lacks ideal length and can struggle against lengthy and physical corners at times. Noel has had some occasional bad drops and struggled with concentration drops throughout his college career.

Noel will need to improve his after-catch catch ability at the next level to maximize his potential. While he has good speed and quickness, he is not an overly creative or elusive runner. His contact balance and power as a runner also need to improve. As a run blocker, Noel lacks ideal length and needs to improve his technique to become a more consistent blocker against bigger defenders.

Potential Team Fits:

Jacksonville Jaguars

New Orleans Saints

Tennessee Titans

NFL Projection:

Noel is a dynamic playmaker who can create separation well at all levels of the field, and be a big play threat who can take the top off the defense. To reach his full potential, Noel will need to limit the drops and become more of a threat as a runner after the catch, but he has the athleticism and skill set to be a starting receiver in the NFL. He has the potential to be a productive WR2 or WR3 from the slot at the next level.

Prospect Grade:

Third Round Grade

Kurtis Rourke is an experienced quarterback whose scouting report shows the ability to succeed in the right system.

More 2025 NFL Draft Scouting Profiles

Overview, Film Analysis, and 2025 Scouting Report of Indiana Quarterback Kurtis Rourke

Measurables

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 220 lbs

Player Background

The path to the NFL has been anything but typical for Kurtis Rourke. Raised in Ontario, Canada, Rourke did not catch the attention of big-name college football programs. Rourke was rated as a two-star recruit by 247Sports and received minimal scholarship offers. After his senior year at Holy Trinity High School in Oakville, Ontario, Rourke committed to play for the Ohio Bobcats. Kurtis Rourke’s older brother, Nathan Rourke, played quarterback for the Bobcats at the time.

Rourke spent five seasons at Ohio, earning the starting job in 2021. As a Bobcat, Rourke threw 50 touchdown passes and 16 interceptions. Before his final season of eligibility, Rourke transferred to Indiana University to become the starting quarterback for the Hoosiers. This is when he grabbed national attention. Rourke led the Hoosiers to a final record of 11-2 and their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance. Now, at 24 years old, Kurtis Rourke has entered the 2025 NFL Draft.

Strengths

Kurtis Rourke is a consistent and confident quarterback. He is able to throw the ball over the middle of the field or outside the numbers. Rourke is accurate in the quick game, especially when throwing quick out routes. He shows the ability to layer passes over linebackers and can vary the power behind his throws.

When pressured, Rourke consistently looks to his checkdown. He doesn’t panic under pressure. He can stand in the pocket and make big throws in key moments of the game. Rourke is confident throwing the ball into tight windows, even down the field. He trusts his receivers to win in one-on-one situations. Rourke often anticipates his receivers getting open, throwing the ball before the receiver gets out of his break.

Weaknesses

In his final year at Indiana, Kurtis Rourke played almost exclusively in the shotgun. This could make the transition to a pro-style offense difficult for him. He can sometimes lock onto his target too quickly, failing to go through progressions. Rourke doesn’t sense pressure well from his blindside, occasionally leading to fumbles.

When throwing the ball down the field, Rourke does not show consistent accuracy. His arm strength is adequate but not ideal. His throwing motion is not as quick as NFL teams would usually prefer. Rourke doesn’t always put the necessary zip on the ball when throwing into tight windows. He rarely extends plays with his feet.

Potential Team Fits

NFL Projection

Kurtis Rourke will likely spend his NFL career as a backup. He can thrive in a shotgun-heavy offense that focuses on creating quick passing opportunities. Though Rourke’s accuracy and lack of turnovers give him a fairly high floor, his poor athleticism limits his ceiling. Kurtis Rourke projects as a sixth-round pick.

2025 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Caleb Ransaw, Tulane https://lastwordonsports.com/nfl/2025/03/19/2025-nfl-draft-scouting-report-caleb-ransaw-tulane/ https://lastwordonsports.com/nfl/2025/03/19/2025-nfl-draft-scouting-report-caleb-ransaw-tulane/#respond Wed, 19 Mar 2025 16:57:30 +0000 https://lastwordonsports.com/nfl/?p=223530 Tulane Safety Caleb Ransaw has been one of the top defensive backs in the Group of 5, but how does his full NFL scouting report look?

More 2025 NFL Draft Profiles

Overview, Film Analysis, And 2025 Scouting Report Of Tulane Safety Caleb Ransaw

Measurables:

  • 60”
  • 196 lbs

Player Background:

Caleb Ransaw came out of Sparkman HS as a two-star cornerback recruit in the 2021 class, sneaking into the Top-250 CB rankings. His collegiate career started with the Troy Trojans, getting onto the field in his first season with the team. He played in 12 total games his freshman year, accumulating just five tackles. He worked into a starting role the following year and started the first five games in 2022 before suffering a concussion.

Ransaw returned after missing three games and finished the season with 25 tackles and three pass deflections. He was arguably the team’s top defensive back in 2023, playing in all 14 games. He racked up his first collegiate interception to go along with 50 tackles and a pass breakup. His time ended at Troy, transferring to Tulane before his senior season. He played in 10 games in 2024, getting a sack, two PBUs, and 31 tackles.

Accolades:

  • 2025 NFL Scouting Combine Invitee
  • 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl Invitee

Strengths/Pros:

Ransaw made waves at the NFL Combine with his blazing 4.33-second 40-yard dash and some of that speed does flash in his tape. He glides smoothly around the field and can straight-line well to close out plays. He’s able to line up in multiple corner and safety alignments and has experience in different zone and man coverage schemes. When working back into zone coverage assignments, his feet move well beneath his base.

His hips work nicely when covering wideouts in space, adjusting his base on the fly, and sticking with wideouts in space. Ransaw drops into his back foot and drives downhill sharply when recognizing underneath plays. He flips his head smoothly in zone coverage as plays develop to counter play schemes and keep himself in a good position. He shifts well laterally in tighter coverages and shoots through gaps when blitzing.

Weaknesses/Cons:

Ransaw is visibly stiff initially in man coverage and needs to stay much more active overall to counter quick cuts. He will get caught being too flat-footed when trying to stay low in his hips, limiting his movement skills. While his fast 40 time was impressive, his compact acceleration and long recovery speed are concerningly worse than his listed speed time. He’s a step behind plays at points and will allow wideouts to work through too much space before he closes out.

His awareness of intermediate coverage is rough as plays develop. He gets dragged by the quarterback’s eyes too often and moved out of his alignment. Ransaw needs to communicate better in the defensive backfield to adjust to options and play action. He doesn’t have the strength to control the run game and often tries to just use shock force to generate pushback. He gets swung around too easily when trying to disengage from blockers and struggles to stand his ground on the edge.

Potential Team Fits:

NFL Projection:

Ransaw is a solid Group of 5 prospect, but in the grand scheme of things isn’t a top defensive back option. In a word, he’s depth. He won’t be a true liability in shorter doses and should be a decent “change-of-pace” defender. His versatility lets him fit in a plethora of defensive schemes and he should at least offer some special teams upside. He will likely be taken in the later rounds of the draft and projects as an extra body in a team’s secondary.

Prospect Grade:

  • Early to Mid-6th Round

Film Exposures:

  • 2024 vs. Kansas State
  • 2024 vs. North Texas
  • 2024 vs. Temple

Bryan's 2024 season at Illinois helped catapult him up draft boards and he enters the 2025 NFL Draft as one of the best prospects at the position. Below is a draft profile on the Illinois wideout.

More 2025 NFL Draft Profiles

Player Background:

As a star athlete out of Atlantic Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida, Bryant could have played football for several Big Ten programs. He chose to play for Brett Bielema, who has been known for developing talent and churning out draft prospects. After arriving at Illinois as a 3-star prospect, Bryant elevated his game at receiver and became a polished route runner. He became a team captain in 2024. His frame, speed and natural pass-catching ability stand out on tape, making him one of the most well-rounded receivers in the 2025 class.

Strengths:

Bryant's basketball background shows up on tape. His wide catch radius and big frame make him a dependable target at all levels of the field. He's a natural when it comes to catching the ball, plucking it from the air, and using his hands to haul in passes. Bryant is smooth as a route runner and is fast getting off the line of scrimmage. His long strides help him cover ground quickly and he's sudden in his breaks. With an ability to high-point balls and win contested catches, Bryant can become a reliable target. He also fights for yards after the catch and is willing to take on contact.

Illinois played in several close games in 2024. In three different games, Bryant came up with a game-winning touchdown catch. Against Rutgers, Bryant effectively beat a prevent defense on his own and came up with the winning score. His dependability and clutch factor will help him earn the trust of his quarterback at the next level. Bryant's ability to do the dirty work, but also take it to the house is what separates him from several other receivers in this class. Each year at Illinois he improved, which bodes well for Bryant's chances to make an impact for the team that drafts him.

Weaknesses:

Speed is not Bryant's game. He doesn't win by blazing past defenders but instead relies on finesse and quickness in his routes. With the speed of defenders at the NFL level, there are concerns about Bryant's ability to separate. While he was asked to block at Illinois, Bryant's not the strongest prospect and could get overwhelmed by more physical corners at the next level. His role will likely be more of a supporting piece for a team rather than a number one. His slow 40 time might also hurt his draft stock.

Team Fits:

New York Jets

Baltimore Ravens

Los Angeles Chargers

Prospect Grade:

Early Day 3

Player Comp:

Keenan Allen
