Chelsea Women Team News

Hannah Hampton starts in goal behind the familiar back four of Millie Bright, Nathalie Bjorn, Lucy Bronze, and Sandy Baltimore. Keira Walsh joins Erin Cutchbert for the midfield pivot with Cat Macario, Lauren James, Aggie Beever-Jones, and Mayra Ramirez as the four up front.

Becky Spencer is on the bench with Katie Cox, Sjoeke Nusken, Ashley Lawrence, Wieke Kaptein, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Niamh Charles, Maika Hamano, Oriane Jean-Francois, and Lola Brown.

Notable Changes

There’s surprisingly only two changes made to the starting crew form the Subway Cup Final. Hamano doesn’t replace Macario despite showing a lot of energy after coming off the bench and posing a better pressing threat. Instead Beever-Jones comes in for Rytting Kaneryd on the left, possibly to form a front two of strikers out of possession but she can also provide a lot of energy on the counter attack.

The other change is Walsh coming in for Nusken, despite being  a new signing the English international has changed how the Blues play and offers them a chance to free up Cuthbert.
