If you carefully read my preview of TNA iMPACT!, you now know if Nygma’s crystal ball was right or wrong. Instead of doing a classic match-by-match review or analyzing what happened yesterday night in El Paso, TX, your favourite Nygma has decided to switch her sights and focus on the future.
Let’s take a look at Sacrifice for what will happen next.

TNA Sacrifice Storylines Meant to Continue
Mance Warner / Sami Callihan / Stephanie De Lander
Sami Callihan and Mance Warner were out for revenge in a match with no disqualifications, no count-outs, and a plethora of weaponry. The fans in El Paso were treated to a staple war as both competitors used a staple gun on one another. Callihan took it to another level when he stapled Warner’s tongue to the turnbuckle.
Somehow, Warner was able to kick out after receiving a Death Valley Driver into a chair. But then, Steph De Lander threw powder in Callihan’s eyes. Warner capitalized with the running knee strike to win.
Some of you will say, that was enough. Sami Callihan is the most vengeful person I’ve ever known, and believe me when I say he will want more. If you think a staple gun is a lethal weapon, you’re wrong. After an intense match that was more of a Death match than a Street Fight, only two possibilities of matches remain and two opponents.
Callihan can seek revenge by wrestling De Lander like Warner. Because Santino Marella asked them not to fight before the match, a Monsters Ball would be unnecessary. Only a Barbed Wire Massacre is possible to end that feud.
I’m looking forward to telling you about…

Mustafa Ali / Santana
If you take the match from the wrestling side of it, it was a great bout. Ali’s goons had absolutely nothing to do outside the ring, interfering constantly.
So, Ali stole the victory and continued to play mind games with Santana as he placed a beer in the ring after the match. Sometimes, the demons inside of us are stronger than ourselves.
In Santana’s case, the demon was inside the ring, and his name is Mustafa Ali, and he can fight that one, the head up. Luckily, Director of Authority Santino Marella already announced a rematch between Mike Santana and Mustafa Ali this Thursday on iMPACT, with The Great Hands and Tasha Steelz banned from ringside.

Masha Slamovich / Tessa Blanchard
Even if Tessa Blanchard was competing against Lei Ying Lee at Sacrifice, her story with Masha Slamovich began the day she came back to TNA Wrestling. Tessa Blanchard grabbed the win by strangling Lee’s eyes when Masha Slamovich retained the TNA gold by defeating NXT’s Cora Jade in a grueling match.
One day or another, Tessa Blanchard will be given a title chance. One day or another, she will have to face Masha Slamovich.
She will understand what Masha is made of, pure violence. Choose your side fast, I’m sure it will happen quicker than we think.

Steve Maclin / Eric Young
As soon as Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt were joined on commentary by Eric Young, Maclin knew he would have to watch his back from someone in the ring and someone outside the ring. Young promised to watch Steve Maclin’s back during his match with Frankie Kazarian, despite Maclin not wanting his help.
Young did what he said, stopped Kazarian from using brass knuckles, and hit Kazarian with them while the referee and Maclin had their backs turned. Even if Eric Young wants Maclin by his side, Maclin has too much pride to accept that he was given the win and thank Young for that.
It can only end one way, and one way only, in a ring, one-on-one. And that will be prodigious.

The New Storylines in the Making
The Nemeth / The Hardys
I was imagining many things to happen in this cage, like Elijah attacking Hendry or Nick Nemeth attacking Hendry. Who would have thought the Nemeth brothers, Ryan and Nic, could team up and attack Matt Hardy? Nic Nemeth could have wanted a TNA World Championship rematch, and that would have made sense.
Instead, he allied with his brother to attack Matt Hardy in front of his brother Jeff and all his teammates. The first one who tells me, I saw it coming, I won’t believe him/her.
The Nemeth want the TNA Tag Team titles when we all thought they would fight for the World Championship. That sounds crazy, but, yes, it’s true.
WHAT DID @NicTNemeth JUST DO?! @ryrynemnem @MATTHARDYBRAND

Moose / Joe Hendry / The Spectre of Kazarian
The Ladder match was just a marvel, except when Alisha Edwards got involved. Honestly, Hardy and Moose stole the show. And Moose is and remains the X-Division Champion.
As of today, Joe Hendry is the World Champion, and it would be difficult to say who’s next in line. This brings me to both Moose and Kazarian.
Moose is the X-Division Champion, so he has a big card in hand called Option-C. He could relinquish the X-Division belt in order to secure a World Championship match. It’s possible, but it seems like Moose loves that title and wants to hold it a little more.
Then, Kazarian won the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Cup at Bound For Glory. He won a chance to become World Champion whenever and wherever he wanted. Who will knock at Hendry’s door first?
We’ll find that out in the coming weeks.

Lash Legend & Jackson Shakara / TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions The Elegances
Ash & Heather By Elegance, alongside The Personal Concierge, defeated Spitfire to become the new Knockouts World Tag Team Champions – but the surprises didn’t stop there. After the match, Ash and Heather had their celebration cut short when they were confronted by WWE NXT’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, who crossed the line and staked their claim to the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles.
The beauty of the NXT/TNA partnership is that the threat now can come from the 2 sides. The Elegances thought they were done with Spitfire, they now have new contenders coming from NXT.
The female members of The Meta-Four have been teaming up for nearly two years and have proved they are serious players in the game. Remember, as of today, no TNA title has been held by an NXT wrestler or team yet.
.@JakaraWWE and @lashlegendwwe have CROSSED THE LINE to interrupt the @Ashamae_Sebera and @Heathereckless celebration! @WWENXT

The Nygma’s Last Word(s)
Sacrifice had its highs and its lows. I’m a fan of anything X-Division, Lucha Libre, violent or high-flying. I’m not a great fan of anything feathered, too girly, and powerhouses mess.
Sacrifice is not revolutionary, it’s another TNA event. It’s a show that is made to set the path and bring us to the next PPV, Rebellion, on April 27. I insist that we are very far from seeing any TNA wrestler holding an NXT title, and vice versa.
Like they say here, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, while the road to Heaven is paved with good actions. The Nutcracking spirit that has been my signature for many years now makes me say to you, don’t fall in the apples too fast (French way to say not to faint), that’s just a Nygma point of view…
I’ve been to the bottom before…
And I’ll RISE AGAIN.MARK MY WORDS. #TNASacrifice pic.twitter.com/fGTtUaE58G
