Xavier Worthy had a slow start to his rookie season, but he quickly turned it around for the Kansas City Chiefs. His rookie season finished on a promising note for fantasy football, and those who hold him should be excited for the future. Let’s take a look at Worthy’s dynasty outlook.
Xavier Worthy: Chiefs Wide Receiver Dynasty Outlook
Current Performance
Worthy finished the 2024 regular season with 59 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdowns. His numbers per game started to trend upwards after Rashee Rice was injured and out for the season. While there is optimism for the future, those who drafted Worthy didn’t exactly get what they were hoping for with him.
In fantasy, he totaled 128.2 points (Average of eight points per game) in standard leagues which saw him finish as the WR27. In PPR, he scored a total of 187.2 points (Average of 11.7 per game), but he dropped to the WR31. Worthy’s performance was the caliber of a WR3.
His average of 37 yards per game is something Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs need to improve upon in his second year in 2025.
Xavier Worthy Dynasty Price
KeepTradeCut lists Worthy as the WR22 in dynasty formats and the 56th player overall among all positions. He’s not even 22 years old, so there is still a lot of untapped potential for him in the NFL. KeepTradeCut is projecting him to take a step forward in 2025. Worthy is listed ahead of players such as Terry McLaurin, D.K. Metcalf and D.J. Moore.
Fantasycalc provides a list of all trades involving Worthy, and the price is rightfully high. Any trade involving Worthy involves a 2025 first rounder or a player such as Rome Odunze. Those who have Worthy know his value is only going to go up from here even after a slightly disappointing rookie year.
For those who do want to acquire Worthy, the time is now. His price won’t get any lower.
Xavier Worthy’s 2025 Projections
Worthy finished the regular season for the Chiefs with the second-highest target share of all pass catchers. His 98 targets only trailed Travis Kelce — who finished with 133. Worthy saw 18% of the total offensive targets, a solid number for a rookie receiver.
He should see an increase in targets in 2025 even with Rice coming back. However, Worthy needs to improve his catch rate. In 2024, he caught just 60% of his targets. It’s a number he must improve on next season to maintain his fantasy relevance.
What to do With Xavier Worthy in Dynasty Leagues
This is a very simple answer, but it needs to be addressed. Keep unless you can sell high. If someone is willing to overpay because they believe in his upside, it makes more sense to deal him. His speed is an unquestionable asset that will only help him in the NFL.
If he’s in a similar spot this time next year, then you could start to consider whether or not he will play to his full potential.
