Arsenal are in a bit of a tough situation in their striker department right now, with injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus troubling their goal-scoring potential. But the Gunners seem to be working on improving that, and there is some positive news on their interest in Benjamin Sesko.
Arsenal Lead Transfer Race for RB Leipzig Forward Benjamin Sesko
How Much Would Arsenal Need to Pay for Sesko?
German outlet Bild’s reporter Christian Falk has reported that the Gunners are now leading the race to sign the RB Leipzig striker in the 2025 summer transfer window. The Gunners were strongly linked to Sesko in the 2024 summer window, and they appear to still have an interest in acquiring his services.

Falk also claims that that he can’t confirm for certain if the 22-year-old striker currently has a release clause inserted into his contract or not. He states: “I’m aware he’s got a gentleman’s agreement with the club whereby he could leave if Leipzig receive an offer worth upwards of €70 million (£58.8 million). The Premier League is very interesting for Sesko. What I heard is that Arsenal are leading the race. We heard that Arsenal are the hottest club, at the moment, for Benjamin Sesko.”
Who Are Arsenal Competing With for Sesko’s Signing?
The Gunners can expect to face stiff competition for the signing of the Slovenian striker. That is because it’s also been reported that Manchester United are keen on signing him to resolve their striker situation. Interestingly, Sesko’s agent was forced to directly refer to Arsenal in the 2025 winter window when his client was getting linked to a loan move to the Emirates Stadium.

He had stated: “I don’t know where this story has come from but I have never talked with Arsenal about a loan move for Sesko. Sesko is not a player for loans and this was never a topic with Arsenal or any other club.” Sesko, who has been hailed as someone with “huge potential”, has scored 17 goals in 34 appearances for the German side this season and could add a lot more firepower to Arsenal’s frontline next season, if they are able to sign him.
