Prema’s Best Season in History
Founded in 1983, by Angelo Rosin and Giorgio Piccolo, the Italian outfit has been instrumental in shaping the careers of many top-tier drivers while consistently delivering championship-winning performances across multiple racing series.
Prema did not only enter a wide variety of racing championships, from Formula 2 to Formula 4. They also excelled in all of them.

2016: European Formula 3 and GP2
In 2016, Prema Racing showcased its prowess by clinching the Drivers’ and Teams’ titles in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship.
Lance Stroll led the charge, securing 11 wins and 20 podiums. His teammates, Maximilian Günther, Nick Cassidy and Ralf Aron also delivered strong performances, contributing to Prema’s dominant presence that season.
The same year marked Prema’s debut in the GP2 Series (now known as the FIA Formula 2 Series), where they made an immediate impact.
Pierre Gasly, a French driver backed by Red Bull, won the Drivers’ championship with four victories, while his teammate Antonio Giovinazzi, a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, finished as the runner-up.
The duo’s consistent performances allowed Prema to secure the Teams’ title as well.

2020: Dominance in Formula 2, Formula 3 and Regional Championships
The year 2020 stands out as one of Prema’s most successful seasons.
In the FIA Formula 2 Championship, Mick Schumacher, son of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, secured the Drivers’ title with two victories and ten podiums.
His consistent performances were instrumental in Prema also clinching the team´s championship.
In the FIA Formula 3 Championship, Prema continued its dominance, winning both the driver´s and team´s titles.
Additionally, the team achieved championship victories in the Formula Regional European and Italian Formula 4 Series.
2022: PREMA’s Triumph on New Frontiers in Endurance Racing
Expanding their horizons, Prema Racing entered the European Le Mans Series in 2022 and immediately made its mark.
The team, featuring drivers Juan Manuel Correa, Ferdinand Habsburg and Louis Délétraz, secured the championship by winning the 4 Hours of Portimão.
