Zay Flowers quickly emerged as the top receiver for Lamar Jackson in 2023 during his rookie year. Through 13 games in his second season, he has already surpassed his yardage total from last year and is continuing to find his stride in the NFL. Heading into 2025 and beyond, Flowers’ dynasty outlook is only going to get better.
Zay Flowers: Ravens Wide Receiver Dynasty Outlook
Current Performance
Flowers is currently the WR9 in fantasy football in both standard and PPR leagues. That is better than rookie sensation Ladd McConkey and established veteran A.J. Brown. He averages 8.8 fantasy points per game in standard leagues, but that number jumps up to 13.4 in PPR style. This shows he is a beneficiary of targets everywhere on the field except in endzone despite leading the team with 94 redzone targets through 13 games.
Inconsistent performances have plagued Flowers slightly through his first two seasons in the NFL. Those who own him any format will be the first to attest to that. For example, he caught five passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9 against Denver. The following week against Cincinnati saw him finish with a mere four catches for 34 yards.
Through 13 games in 2024, he has posted three weeks of top-15 finishes among fantasy wide receivers. Two of those weeks resulted in three of his four touchdowns so far this season. If Flowers can get the ball more in the endzone, his fantasy value will skyrocket.
Zay Flowers Dynasty Price
Flowers is the ideal player to have in dynasty leagues: young, talented, durable and sees a lot of targets. Playing in a high-level offense like the Ravens have just sweetens the deal for Flowers owners. Fantasytradecalc shows various combinations of trades that Flowers has been involved in.
Since December began, there have already been 41 trades involving Flowers. Some of notable ones include him being dealt for McConkey and a 2026 third-round pick along with being acquired for a 2025 first and third rounder. One trade even saw him swapped one-for-one with Rashee Rice.
What to do With Zay Flowers in Dynasty Leagues
Flowers’ trajectory through his first two seasons should make it pretty clear what dynasty owners will do with him in the offseason. However, there is always the possibility of the Ravens adding other wide receivers and providing their two-time MVP quarterback with even more weapons.
Risk-Averse Managers
Risk-averse managers view Flowers as a flex option and will fully believe this is the year that Baltimore adds real competition in the wide receiver room. (No, Diontae Johnson doesn’t count as a real competition.) They will look to move on from Flowers prior to the alleged signing or rookie being drafted. Returns from a trade will vary from draft picks to players based on contention status.
Risk-Seeking Managers
Risk-seeking managers are going to do one of two things: already have Flowers penciled in as their WR1 or WR2 (depending upon league size) for next year or do everything they can to trade for him. Contenders will scoop him up at the first possible opportunity to provide depth. Even for a rebuilding team, Flowers is the type of player you can acquire to speed up the rebuild.
